Come and join I CAAN on Sunday, 6th October 2024 for a morning of fun, fitness and fundraising at the 40th Great Cumbrian Run!
In addition to the half-marathon there is also a 10K run and two Family Fun Runs this year.
THE GREAT CUMBRIAN 10K RUN
The Great Cumbrian 10K – Starting alongside the Half Marathon, the mainly closed-road 10K route will go through the City Centre then head up Brampton Road taking the turning into Rickerby park turning right passing the War Memorial to the fallen of the Great War (1914-1918) crossing the Memorial Bridge and running along the new path back to Bitts park and then to the finish on the track at Sheepmount Athletics Stadium.
Family Fun Runs
The family fun runs are relaxed events designed to help you raise money for a worthwhile local cause and accomplish personal goals. The first run is open to everybody and is not timed. You’ll cover about a mile in distance, heading through Bitts Park to the finish on the track at the Sheepmount Athletic Stadium.
The second family fun run is open to 11-16 year old’s and covers approximately 3.1 miles. This run has timing available for those that want to be a bit more competitive. The course follows The Great Cumbrian Run Route for 3.1 miles before turning to the finish on the track at the Sheepmount Athletic Stadium.
